Xilin Association has been running an adult daycare in Naperville for 10 years, and as we began Xilin Adult Daycare Center Arlington Heights in July 2014, we received a wonderful welcome and help from the Village.
As soon as we joined the Arlington Heights Chamber, Jim Platt, Director of Business Development, came to visit us the very next day. We had a long, happy conversation. Jim not only learned what we need to run our business, but also gave us suggestions, and moreover, he offered connections to us.
Since that first visit, Jim has visited our facility whenever he passed by; participated in several public hearings in the village; sent us the contact information related to our business; etc. With the chamber’s help, we began reaching out to businesses in Arlington Heights. People were so happy to hear that Xilin provides adult daycare and in-home services in the area – there’s a great demand for this service for seniors. We were happy to find that we can introduce our clients to other businesses too.

The center is expanding, adding more services for the community and will double its size. We have been able to expand our client demographic from Asian to Caucasian as well. We receive calls from referrals every day. The new Caucasian clients and memory loss clients are very happy with our environment – bright wide open rooms, friendly hardworking staff, as well as lots of happy clients around them.

We plan to share more resources with the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce.

I had the idea to start my own company about 1 year ago. I turned to the Arlington Heights Chamber for help and advice. They were extremely receptive to my inquiries, and treated me very professionally. They helped me tremendously with startup advice, various resources to help with my startup, and even referred a few businesses to me. Also, the chamber membership is tremendously responsive. They have great networking opportunities and well orchestrated events. Thanks to Jon, Jim, Kristin and Jeanie, my business is running successfully and I’m confident that they will continue to be a major source of support for my company going forward.

For anyone thinking of starting their own business, or even if you have an existing business and are looking to get more involved in the community and network with other local businesses, I highly recommend contacting the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, my key to success.

My company provides promotional products to all forms of businesses. In addition to Promotional Products, we also provide branded apparel, employee incentives, engraved awards and gifts. You can visit my website for more details.

I’ve been a member of the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce for 12 years and I can honestly say my customer base has increased considerably through networking at “Business After Hours” events.

The event at Clementi’s shared by Tru Pay Systems resulted in four qualified leads…..the most I’ve ever picked up. I’ve already had two meetings with two of the leads with promising results.   There are many “Business After Hours” events when I don’t obtain new leads, but I can say I’m aware of what’s going on within the business community and behind the scenes.
